Our
mission is to provide a forum for the reading and discussion of the
works of C. S. Lewis.
While
our primary focus will be works of Lewis which have persisted and
endured over time, we may occasionally become acquainted with portions
of works by those who influenced him (e.g., J. R. R. Tolkien, Charles
Williams, George McDonald, G.K Chesterton).
If you enjoy
reading thought-provoking and
entertaining literature, if you find satisfaction in sharing what
you've read with others in
a lively exchange of ideas, then the C.S. Lewis
Society may be for you.
Our
groups are composed of
people from all walks of life: young and old,
married and single,
church-goers and non-church-goers. Some of us have been
reading the works of Lewis for many years while others are just
beginning.
Whoever you
are, there's a place here for YOU!

A
brief life of C.S. (Jack) Lewis
 "Lewis reaches
the parts of
us --the heart, soul and mind-- as other
writers
cannot, with
the truth that all those mystical parts of the psyche are
called to
serve. It is, therefore, a joy to
know that Lewis is alive and well in the heart of
Colorado."
--Joseph Pearce,
author of books
on Lewis, Tolkien, and Chesterton
- To gather those in the northern Colorado area
in a Reading Group meeting regularly to discuss a C. S. Lewis work;
- To
sponsor a library of books, papers, and audio-visual material by or
about Lewis as a resource to members and friends of members;
- To sponsor special events that will acquaint
the larger community with C. S. Lewis, his thought, and beliefs;
- To
make available to members and their friends national and international
events that explore the richness and applicability of Lewisian thought;
- To
be willing guides to those in our community that may be unfamiliar with
the life and work of Lewis but who may find his writing attractive and
meaningful.
Membership
in the CSL Society is open to all regardless of their religious or
philosophical belief or their familiarity with the Lewis
catalogue. The CSL Society of Northern Colorado is an
autonomous and
self-supporting organization.
